Phe\u2019s pov<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have to tell her and then maybe if I did she might accept me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I haven\u2019t told anyone about it, but I think my mother has an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially after she found out I licked Amber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I need to tell her if only to clear up the mess with the licking so she doesn\u2019t think I am some kind of monster freak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to explain what I did earlier\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She looks at me confused and asks, \u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d She pauses as though thinking and her eyes widen slightly before going back to how they were before. \u201cYou mean\u2026Hmm, the licking thing?\u201d She asks shyly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I nod, \u201cYes\u2026 The licking thing,\u201d I begin but stop as soon as I see my younger sister Kora enter the room. \u201cI\u2019ll tell you later,\u201d I tell her and she nods her head silently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFound them,\u201d Kora chimes happily placing a box of the devices she wants Amber to help fix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I take a step back and proceed to watch the two speak and work together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amber\u2019s pov<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was just about to tell me something when Kora came in with the USB drives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that Phe walked over to the wall behind us, remaining silent as me and his sister looked at the damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou and Phe seem to be getting on better?\u201d She asks me laying out the contents of the box on the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah. I guess,\u201d I shrug my shoulders unsure what to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo about these,\u201d I pick up one of the least damaged of the lot. \u201cHave you got any tools I can use to tried and fix them?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She presses a button on a control panel to the left of her and in an instant a large closet type storage room opened just a few feet in front of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow,\u201d I say out loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne moment it looked like a normal wall and the next\u2026\u201d I trail off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad you like,\u201d She giggles walking past me into the room and then stopping. \u201cAre any of these any use to you?\u201d She asks pointing to a wall of objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I walk over to where she is standing and look at the tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the tools are really strange looking, a few similar looking to the tools I am used too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But somehow, I manage to find the right type of tools for the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We carry everything to the work surface and place them down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHave you got a machine I can try and try to read them?\u201d I ask not looking up from the table. I try to explain what I need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI forgot about that\u2026\u201d She pauses for a moment. \u201cI have\u201d She turns and began to leave the room, but pauses at the doorway. \u201cI\u2019ll be right back,\u201d She turns to Phe who I had forgotten is even with us as he was so quiet. \u201cBe nice,\u201d She warns before leaving us alone for the second time in as many minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo what was you going to tell me before?\u201d I ask hating the silence in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hear footsteps behind me. \u201cSince the first time I found you up to now I have not left your side. Do you know why?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I turn away from my work to look at him. He is standing just inches from, making me nervous but strangely not uncomfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I shake my head, \u201cNo\u2026 I thought you were going to tell me about what happened earlier?\u201d I ask confused, but also surprised by his confession \u201cDid your father want someone to guard me or something?\u201d I ask as a second thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has everything to do with the incident earlier and no, he never asked me to guard you. It isn\u2019t needed, this ship is equipped with barriers in almost every room on it. So, if we needed to have you held safely then there would be no need for guards,\u201d He explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReally?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. So you see\u2026\u201d He trails off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI guess. But then why?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFirst before I tell you I have to explain some things. Please let me finish what I have to say before you say anything. I promise I\u2019ll answer any questions you have later.\u201d I nod but say nothing, now giving him my full attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCome and sit over here,\u201d He indicates to a couple of seats off to one side of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do as he asked, with him closely following. Taking a seat and him beside me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy race – unlike many races – can only reproduce with one special person\u2026 Their genetic mate,\u201d He pauses mid sentence and looks at me for about half a minute before continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat person we know by strong feelings we get towards them, scent and lastly taste\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Taste? What the hell?\u2019 I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then as though a light switch was pressed\u2026 It clicks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look at him wide eyed. \u201cYou mean when you licked me?\u201d I speak slowly not really believing what I am asking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking at me with an unreadable expression. \u201cYes, Amber. You are my mate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To say I was shocked would be an understatement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never in a million years did I ever think I would end up in space. Let alone on a ship with aliens and now I find out I am a mate of one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat does this mean?\u201d He looks confused by my question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I sigh and rephrase my question. \u201cI mean, what will happen now? What is meant to happen between the two of us?\u201d I try to asked clearly but was never very good at speaking to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw a slight twitch in the corner of his beautiful lips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018At least he\u2019s hot,\u2019 I thought finding myself drawn to him the more I look at him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I verified you are my mate, which was when I licked you and tasted you\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t help but think dirty thoughts when said that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018His two tongues working\u2026 No no no Amber! Now is not the time!\u2019 I scold myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHmm, yes,\u201d My words come out more husky than intended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He gives me an unsure look but continued. \u201cAfter that if you were of my species you would accept me and we would join.\u201d He rubs the back of his neck. \u201cBut you are not. You will have to decide whether you want to accept me or not.\u201d He looked down depressed. \u201cAnd if you do we will have to complete the joining.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He looked back at me with a small smile, \u201cAny questions?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018God, he\u2019s hot,\u2019 He really was and he wasn\u2019t even trying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, I have lots. But firstly what is \u2018joining\u2019 and are you sure our species are compatible for it?\u201d I have an idea what it is, but want to confirm my suspicions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I expected him to be nervous or shy or something when he answered but no\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stepped closer until our bodies were barely touching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I gulped and he look at me with a heat gaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe joining is when I put this\u2026\u201d He takes my hand and places it on his hard crotch, \u201cInto this\u2026\u201d He moved my hand with his still on top over my core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bit my lip to stop a moan escaping my mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd as for being compatible,\u201d He moved his hand under mine and felt my core through my clothes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He smirked, \u201cI think there is no problem there,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I somehow muffled a moan so he didn\u2019t hear it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He took a step back and frowned again, \u201cBut only if you accept me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf I didn\u2019t would you get another mate?\u201d I ask not really thinking of rejecting him at the moment, I was just curious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He looked depressed again. \u201cThere would be no other. There is only ever one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I frowned, \u201cCan\u2019t you join with non mates? I mean my species can,\u201d I said the last part quieter than the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, we are unable to join with anyone other than our mates,\u201d He looked at me sadly, but I don\u2019t think it was because he couldn\u2019t join with random women. \u201cDoes this mean you have joined with someone else?\u201d I could hear the heartbreak in his words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot my personally. I am still a virgin. That means I have never joined, but most adults of my kind have joined with more than one person in their lifetime. But I wanted to wait for a special person,\u201d I smile softly at him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phe\u2019s body seems to relax from a tension I didn\u2019t notice before and he gave me a heart breaking smile. \u201cThen I am glad and hope you will give me a chance,\u201d He takes my hand and licks the back of it and inhales deeply before pulling away with a sheepish smile. \u201cSorry. I just had to one last time. I will give you time now to think about it,\u201d I nodded and he returned the spot he was stood in before his sister left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was surprised, but not disgusted by what he did. In fact I actually found it kind of sweet, cute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turning back to the desk full of USB\u2019s I tried to concentrate on fixing them, but my mind kept wandering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only a couple of minutes Koya returned empty handed, but behind her a man I had yet to meet with a mass of electronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koya grinned, \u201cYou wanted something to make a reader\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got so involved in the making of the reader and fixing the USBs that I forgot that where I was, despite having these strange tools to do it. I heard some speaking from behind me and it got my attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou really know what you\u2019re doing,\u201d Koya more told than asked sounding some what surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThanks,\u201d I chuckled slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe doesn\u2019t mean it as an insult. It is just the planet didn\u2019t seem that advanced, yet you can do this,\u201d The unknown man who brought the things in with Kora spoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSorry. I forgot to introduce you. This is Ty. He is my mate,\u201d Kora then turned to Ty. \u201cTy, this is Amber\u2026\u201d She paused. \u201cI think that\u2019s how you say it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. That was right,\u201d I tell her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNice to meet you, Ty,\u201d I smile to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have never met an alien in person before,\u201d Koya looked at him. \u201cShhh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s okay. I\u2019ve never met any before today either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow did you end up in that stasis unit?\u201d He asked ignore Koya\u2019s disapproving looks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know. That\u2019s what I\u2019m hoping to find out on one of these,\u201d I hold up the USB memory stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I turn back to my work and check it over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think I am done\u2026\u201d I look over the the machine and sticks. \u201cYep. I just need to connect it to the rest of your system and we\u2019ve ready.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI can help with that,\u201d Koya rushed over and began plugging in my creation into a panel she had opened near the console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She turned it on and waited for the software to integrate with their main system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once it was on I placed the first of several USB memory sticks and with the help of Koya – Mostly because I had no idea how to read their language – opened the files. After breaking the encryption again with the help of Koya, we slowly searched through each one. One contained information about the experiment I was doing and all the results they collected. The second and third and fourth more research and other unimportant things I would go over later. The fifth and sixth were corrupted, but I told them I would try and fix them later, but I don\u2019t hold out much hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally the last one. My eyes grew wider, \u201cThat\u2019s more like it,\u201d I said almost bouncing on the balls of my feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is it?\u201d I turned to see all three looking at me unreadable expressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVideos.\u201d Blank looks. \u201cYou\u2019ll see.\u201d I turned back to the screen and clicked on the first one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
