\u201cThere you are.\u201d Koya rushes over, her older brother, Joln, close behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They stop in front of us, look at me on Phe\u2019s back and then to mine and Lenime\u2019s joint hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am kind of thankful at this minute their cheetah spots are hidden beneath their clothing. But they still have the gold marks on their necks. But being barely visible unless you are looking for it, how long will it take them to notice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could be fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have several questions, but first, why is she on his back and secondly why is she holding Lenime\u2019s hand?\u201d Joln is the one to ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koya just stands smiling at us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause I put her on there and she is happy on there and Lenime tried to carry her away earlier, that is why we are late,\u201d Phe answer for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am here because your brother refuses to put me down, because according to him, I\u2019m too short for people to see and they might step on me.\u201d They chuckle at this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd Len can\u2019t be trusted to walk alone.\u201d Lenime chuckles at this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joln looks surprised, Koya sees this. \u201cLenime has been teasing them all day and started whining he was bored when they left.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koya walks forwards and takes her younger brother\u2019s hand. \u201cCome on, Lenime,\u201d She tries to drag him with her but he stands fixed to the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She stops and turns to him, he looks at her amused. \u201cTrying to do something, sister?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re a pain,\u201d She mumble to herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She looks to me and smiles, \u201cYou know he is never letting you down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan you please put me down, Phe?\u201d I try again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPhe!\u201d A booming voice came from behind Joln.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiy? I didn\u2019t even notice him before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phe tenses, \u201cYes, Father.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPut the poor girl down,\u201d He says seriously, but I see the amusement in his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He does as he is told and places me on the ground. I walk to the side of him and he hooks me into his side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yes, Lenime is still holding my hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow lets get inside, the food is all laid out ready,\u201d Kiy smiles at me, look at mine and Lenime\u2019s hand but says nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he and Joln begin to walk back to the room they exited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koya on the other hand has pulled me away from both of my mates and is now walking with her arm around my shoulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKoya, you have your own mate, go annoy him,\u201d Phe says annoyed that I’m not by his side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShh, I need to speak to her about Farscape.\u201d I chuckle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only a second I hear hurried footsteps, then, \u201cOuch.\u201d Me and Koya both turn to see Lenime frowning and Phe smiling innocently holding Lenime\u2019s arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBad hands again?\u201d I ask almost cryptically but he understood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. I think we may have to have him tied up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll get the rope,\u201d Koya chimes and drags me into a room full of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So many eyes on me. His siblings, their mate and children. Some of the children are too young so I will meet them another time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around thirty people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How big is this ship?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to go now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eek. I need my mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But she continues to drag me to a very large table where everyone was sat. To a space with four empty seats one next to Ty. I guess that is Koya\u2019s seat and the other seats next to hers are for her brothers and I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone, this is Amber, Phe\u2019s mate,\u201d Kiy introduces me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lots of hellos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe will introduce you properly later,\u201d Koya tells me, sitting next to Ty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am about to sit next to her but someone picks me up and places me in the middle empty seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPhe, she is meant to sit next to me not you!\u201d Koya complains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look either side of me. Phe on one side and Lenime on the other, both grabbing my hands under the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone\u2019s eyes are still on me but having my mates beside me calms me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh well. You have me now,\u201d He says nonchalantly and turns his back to her making her huff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou alright, Love?\u201d He asks ignoring the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBetter now you two are here,\u201d I whisper back so only he can hear me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWant to sit on my lap?\u201d He asks hopefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hear a couple of chuckles from people close enough to hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaybe after we eat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that he passes me a plate more than overfilled with foods and everyone else starts to get theirs too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Including both my mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I let go of their hands, but they keep them on my thighs. At least Phe does, he just rubs my thigh as he eats and watches me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime watches me and eat too, but unlike his brother his hand decides it would go on the mission to find my \u2018button,\u2019 as he put it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I keep reaching under the table and hitting his hand, but he just laughs and continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLen, stop it or I\u2019ll cut your hands off,\u201d I whisper warn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t even eat quarter of the food before I am full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now is the time to nap, but being a dinner with the family I can\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs everything alright, Amber?\u201d Ren asks me from the opposite side of the table when she notices I have stopped eating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m fine, thanks. It was great.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe doesn\u2019t eat much,\u201d Phe tells her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe just drinks a lot,\u201d Lenime adds placing a tumbler of something in front of me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo wonder you are so tiny,\u201d Someone I have no idea coos and a few agree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s this, Len?\u201d I ask holding the drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSijo tea. You\u2019ll like it.\u201d He watches me as if waiting my praise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is just too damn cute, I just wants me to hug him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I take a drink and it is good. Not taste dissimilar to Earl Grey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But on earth I loved my tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you, Len. It\u2019s delicious.\u201d I take another drink. Then place it back on the table and again take my mates hands beneath the table. Almost straight away Phe\u2019s thumb began to rub patterns on my hand. I know even though I am next to him, he still misses me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime\u2019s face brightens and he bounces on his chair, earning the attention of\u2026. Everyone. Including his brother next to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All I know is he is one of the twins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He looks at Lenime with a raised eyebrow. \u201cLenime, are you okay? You very\u2026 Bouncy today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been like that most of the day,\u201d Koya chimes in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am great, Riyon,\u201d He says then turns back to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riyon looks at Lenime and does a double take. Leans in closer and looks at Lenime\u2019s neck. Busted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is it, Riyon?\u201d Ren asks noticing her son staring at the others neck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh nothing,\u201d He replies nonchalantly, but he has a sparkle of mischief in his eye. My eyes widen and I let out a little squeak as I feel Phe\u2019s arm lift me up from my seat and slip himself underneath me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His plate is empty and he has completed his food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am still holding Lenime\u2019s hand. I’m not sure if anyone saw it as I was lifted up but I wouldn\u2019t be surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone\u2019s eyes are now flickering between to three of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat were you looking at, Riyon?\u201d Roan asks his twin. He is sat a few seats away from him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat is what I was wondering,\u201d He answers cryptically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the people have finished eating by this point, the table is almost empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I swear these people eat their own body weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d His twin asks getting up and walking over to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the twins both begin looking at Lenime\u2019s neck and poking it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGo away, you pains,\u201d He says grumbling and hitting their hands away with his free hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They move onto Phe. \u201cTouch me or Amber and I\u2019ll rip your hands off,\u201d He warns them, they quickly back away and return to their own seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan you tell me\u2026\u201d It is Kiy asking now. \u201c\u2026Why are you two pestering your brothers?\u201d He is staring between the twins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy don\u2019t you ask Lenime why he has a mating mark covering his neck?\u201d Roan says with a large smirk as though he is glad to get his brother into trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone\u2019s face turns to shock and Lenime bursts out laughing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut he hasn\u2019t found his mate? Has he?\u201d One of the men I don\u2019t know asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo. Maybe it\u2019s your eyes playing tricks on you, Roan,\u201d One of their sister\u2019s next to the man says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOr maybe he\u2019s mated himself,\u201d Koya says lowly, but not low enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me, Ty, Phe join Lenime laughing now, whilst the others look on confused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have been watching far too many movies,\u201d Ty chuckles stroking her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The others only look more confused. I take another drink of my Sijo, finishing off my glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWant more, love?\u201d Phe asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, thank you.\u201d I rub my cheek on his, he smiles in return and licks my cheek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime must have felt left out because he shook my hand to get my attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look at him to see him frowning but he perks up when I look at him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This doesn’t go unnoticed by the others but they still don\u2019t understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiy and Ren both stands up. \u201cLet\u2019s head into the next room, out the way of all these dishes and talk more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone stands up and leaves the room leaving me, my mates and their parents behind. They are standing by the door and indicate for us to stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We haven\u2019t even stood up, we are still sat at the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan you all come over here?\u201d Kiy asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phe stands up picking me bridal style with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I immediately let go on Lenime\u2019s hand, shocked by the suddenness of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My other mate stand up too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiy chuckles, \u201cPut the poor girl down Phe so we can speak properly please.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut she is fine here,\u201d Phe defends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren grins at her son. \u201cPhe,\u201d Kiy says again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He grumbles and places me on the ground again. Before he has a chance to take me under his arm Lenime has me pulled tightly at his side. \u201cI missed you, love,\u201d He whispers so only I can hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phe moves in beside us and bringing his arm around me too somehow. I’m now being held in between the pair as we walk over to their surprised looking parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are Amber\u2019s mate too?\u201d Kiy asks his son as we stop in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime grins. \u201cYes. My little mate.\u201d He looks down at me adoringly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut why didn\u2019t you tell us before when you first met her?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime tells them the same he had told us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd that is why you were late? Because you had to speak about it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd she accepted you too?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both their parents are wearing unreadable expressions. \u201cBut I have never heard of someone having two mates before\u2026\u201d Ren thinks out loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRoan said you have a mark. You have already joined?\u201d Kiy asks this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I blush, Lenime licks my cheek and then answers his parents. \u201cYes. I told her we didn\u2019t have too, but I love her so much. If only I can hold her I\u2019d be happy.\u201d He is brushing a few loose strands of my hair out of my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd you are alright with this, Phe?\u201d Kiy asks him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs long as my mate and brother are happy, so am I. I love them both, just in different ways,\u201d He tells her honestly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren\u2019s face erupts into a grin and she bounces over to us. \u201cI am so happy!\u201d She hug the three of us and pulls back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hear Kiy chuckling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs surprised as we are, we are both very happy. We love you like are own daughter\u201d I can\u2019t help but smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan we see your marks?\u201d He asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They let me go and turn to show them their marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey are all gold,\u201d Ren says proudly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow far do they go?\u201d She asks looking at mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll show you.\u201d My eyes widen as Lenime pulls down the top half of his suit, stopping at the waist thankfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They stare at his now golden marks open mouthed. \u201cAnd they stop near my ankles where my spots stop and Phe\u2019s spots are the same. Not to mention Amber\u2019s mark\u2026 It is as beautiful as her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan I see?\u201d She asks me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look to Phe and Lenime, they both nod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turning my back to their parents, so I can cover my chest, Phe helps me bring my suit down stopping just above my hips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hear a gasp. \u201cThis is \u2026 unbelievable. It has created it\u2019s own spots,\u201d Ren says in awe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are not like humans, they see nothing wrong or sexual in doing this, at least their parents didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To my mates it is a sign to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their parents are too distracted to even notice when Lenime begins to trying to place his hand in my lower suit, not to mention the bulges both brothers are trying to hide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bat his hand away and quickly pullled my suit back up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you like your hands?\u201d I say calmly to him. He looks at them and nods, then moves to reach for my button again in front of his parents. I hit them away again. \u201cThen stop it if you want to keep them,\u201d I say in a warning tone. He pouts and his parents laugh. Phe wraps his arms around my shoulders and pulls my back against his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut Phe can touch you?\u201d He whines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe does not try to touch things he shouldn\u2019t in front of people. You can too, just behave.\u201d I take his hand, pull him closer and turn my attention back to the parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are both smiling at us in awe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you know what the golden spots means?\u201d Kiy asks us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur bond is stronger than most?\u201d Phe answers as he nuzzles my hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
