\u201cYes. It indicates you have a bonding beyond all others,\u201d His father says proudly. \u201cWhat\u2019s that mean exactly?\u201d I don\u2019t feel any different than before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt means you are more in-tune with each other than most. You have the need to always be close\u2026\u201d Ren chuckles. \u201cWhich explains them\u2026\u201d She points at her sons, \u201cIt also means you are very sensitive to mood changes in your mate. For instance if they are depressed you will be able to feel that from them without seeing them. I am sure there are other things, but there has only ever been several \u2018twice golden\u2019 as they call it, couples before. So we only know bits and pieces about it. I also know that if one dies the other does within minutes of their mate,\u201d Her mood saddens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut that isn\u2019t going to happen for a long time,\u201d Kiy reassures her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow, if your ready, let’s go announce your mating.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJust give us a second and we\u2019ll follow,\u201d I tell them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiy walks over and gives me a hug as does his wife again before exiting the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I turn to Lenime who is grinning, but looking at me curiously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLen , I love you so much and I want you to touch me, just not in front of people, please?\u201d I plead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut you like me touching you?\u201d I roll my eyes knowing that and I love you, is all he heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wrap my arms around him best I can. \u201cYes, you annoying handsome man, I love you touching me\u2026\u201d And this is where he stops listening again. \u201c\u2026Just not in front of others\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wraps his arms around me, drawing me in closer and starts licking the side of my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know he wasn\u2019t listening to most of that?\u201d Phe says again stepping forwards and sandwiching me between the two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know, Jet. I\u2019ve probably only made it worst,\u201d I sigh. He chuckles, \u201cFor sure.\u201d He bends down and begins licking my other cheek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All I could think is if only Aaron could see me now, he definitely wouldn\u2019t be calling me the virgin Mary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a minute I decide we really have to be joining the party again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phe and Lenime isn\u2019t happy about being stopped showing me their love, but they knows as much as I that we need to join the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI promise you can give my whole body a tongue bath afterwards,\u201d I says actually walking, yes, walking out of the room tucked in between my mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOr we could skip this and do the tongue bathing now,\u201d Phe suggests exiting the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love that idea. I need to see my button.\u201d We all know who said that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, you don\u2019t,\u201d Kiy stops in front of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He and Ren had waited outside the door for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are coming with us,\u201d He says grabbing Lenime\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut my button\u2026\u201d He sounds like a child who has just had his favourite toy taken away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have no idea what you are talking about,\u201d Kiy says dragging Lenime with him and Ren has her arm around my shoulder, leaving Phe alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe is our mate, mother,\u201d He tries to take me back but she hit his hand away. \u201cAnd she is my daughter now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is quite comical. Lenime also continues holding his hand out but his father is pulling him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou will be fine for a minute,\u201d She tells them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I laugh, \u201cHe won\u2019t even let me use the toilet by myself. Even if I beg,\u201d I tell her and she frowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll speak with them later,\u201d She reassures me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAammmbbbbeeerrrr!\u201d Lenime says dramatically, trying to get my attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chuckles, \u201cYes, Len?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello,\u201d He says normally, making me laugh more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello.\u201d He is happy I am paying attention to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmber, I miss you,\u201d It is Phe standing beside me, trying to take my hand and attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thankfully, we get in the room where everyone is standing about speaking to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone stops speaking and eyes turn to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLenime still being a bad boy?\u201d Koya laughs seeing her father holding his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe keeps rambling about a button,\u201d Ren says making Koya and Ty laugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess they remember earlier. Everyone looks at them unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then a look of realization and then a smile takes over and she runs over to me and picks me up out of her mother’s grip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKoya, put me down.\u201d As her brother did she ignores me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are, aren\u2019t you?\u201d I know she is talking about, Lenime and me being mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has me in her arms off the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPut her down, Koya,\u201d Phe walks over and takes me from her arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Great, I am now bridal style again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI give up.\u201d I flop my head back against his chest. \u201cI miss holding you,\u201d He kisses the top of my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime is frowning in our direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can feel his loneliness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe is. Isn\u2019t she?\u201d Koya asks Phe third time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As though sensing Lenime\u2019s loneliness too, Phe automatically walks over to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime\u2019s hand is straight onto my cheek, brushing my hair away again. It is strange, but at that I moment I can feel both my mates contempt feeling. I get so lost in Lenime\u2019s gaze that I totally forget where I am for a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me make a reintroduction. Everyone, this is Amber\u2026\u201d I turn my head to see everyone staring. Lenime doesn\u2019t seem to be paying attention because I feel his fingers playing with my ponytail and neither is Phe. He is just staring at me and stroking my side as he holds me. But both are happy, despite Kiy still holding Lenime\u2019s hand. So I am happy too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026 Phe\u2019s and Lenime\u2019s mate.\u201d Everyone but Koya and Ty stood wide eyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI knew it!\u201d She says bouncing around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs soon as they said button I knew.\u201d She and Ty bounce over to us. Well, she bounced and he follows behind walking and chuckling at his mate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd they are twice golden,\u201d Ren announces proudly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cue dozens of voices asking questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few I hear are, \u201cHow?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut she is only a junior. Isn’t she?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan I see the marks?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat button?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t help but laugh at that last one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cQuiet!\u201d Kiy orders and everyone goes instantly silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will try to answer your questions, but some we don\u2019t know,\u201d He tells them and finally let go of Lenime\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He tries to get me and Phe to make an escape, but Ren grabs his hand stopping him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He goes back to pouting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPhe, put Amber down, please,\u201d He tells him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phe grumbles but does as he asked and places me between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren is still holding his hand, but now he and Phe are holding mine too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe\u2019s so tiny,\u201d Another unfamiliar male voice says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow old is she?\u201d A similar but not the same voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTechnically, she is the oldest person on the whole ship.\u201d A few people gasp. \u201cShe was in stasis for around a eight hundred years after all. But biologically she is full grown, she is twenty-six. Her race are just smaller than ours,\u201d Ren is the one doing the speaking this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs for why she has two mates\u2026 We do not know that but all that matters is they are happy and have successfully joined,\u201d She pauses thinking what else they had asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe button? No Idea\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat is\u2026\u201d Lenime tries to take his hand from mine to show them, but I keep a death grip on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt isn\u2019t important,\u201d I tell them leaving no room for argument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan we see your marks?\u201d A man who looks a looks like a younger Ty asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both my mates happily show theirs, but I, on the other hand, am more reluctant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is one thing pulling my suit down in front of their parents but another in a room jammed with people I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to mention my charmers wandering hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They all crowed around and take turns to admire the marks. Of course Lenime\u2019s went all the way down, but he only shows them to his waist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koya walks over to me \u201cCan I see your please, Amber?\u201d She reminds me of Lenime. It is just as sweet as him the way she asks I can\u2019t say no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlright, but hold Lenime\u2019s hand. I don\u2019t want him searching for \u2018the button\u2019 in front of everyone,\u201d I tell her lowly, but both my mates must have heard because Lenime is grinning and Phe is giving him a warning look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank God, I have been having laser treatment on my under arm hair and had them waxed just before I went into stasis or I would look like a monkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll have to find a new way to remove my unwanted hairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koya giggles, \u201cHang on. I have an idea.\u201d She grabs my hand and began to lead me out of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It isn\u2019t even a second before I am being snatched back into the arms of Lenime this time but Phe is right beside us and they are both still topless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are not taking her anywhere,\u201d Lenime glares at his sister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe is ours,\u201d Phe growls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLen, Phe please don\u2019t yell at her,\u201d I ask trying to calm them down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their faces instantly soften and Phe moves in front of me entombing me between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am thankful Lenime is holding me off the ground otherwise I wouldn\u2019t be able to breath Phe is that close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hear a few gasps and mumbled words being exchanged, but nothing I can make out and my mates don\u2019t seem to care about the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They both have their entire attention on me. I feel completely content staying here. I can feel waves of happiness flowing from them to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I place one hand on each of my mates chests and touch their bare skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My fingers tingled, as though stung by a light pulse of electric. It isn\u2019t a bad feeling, the exact opposite. It is one of the best feelings I have ever had without joining with my mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I barely even notice them both move in front of me, whilst still somehow keeping me in their arm and my hands still attached to their chests. At least not until my eyes connect with both of my mates. I know instantly, in that fraction of a second that they are feeling the same thing as me. The joy, love, need, the absoluteness, everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou complete me,\u201d Our voice eerily say as if we are one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the strangest feeling. Almost as if our minds are all connected by one long string. It start at me, then each of them before returning to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t know how long we are stood there just staring at each other. But in that time we all forget the people around us. Hearing nothing as though we are alone. But the truth is the entire time they are speaking trying to figure out what we are doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFirst they have two mates now this\u2026? What is happening?\u201d A voice I don\u2019t recognize breaks through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is as though something clicked. I knew exactly what was happening\u2026 Okay, maybe not totally, but I had an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey only have one mate,\u201d I feel everyone\u2019s eyes land on me, though my eyes stays on my mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmber is my mate,\u201d \u201cAnd she is mine,\u201d Both Lenime and Phe say still connected with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBoth Lenime and Phe are my mates, but not each other\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suddenly snap out of my mates gaze. \u201cI need to check something,\u201d I say moving from between my mates and out the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hear hurried footsteps and know without looking who it is<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before I even get my foot through the door I am swept up into someone\u2019s arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere are we going, love?\u201d Phe says nuzzling my neck. And yes, they still are only half dressed. Not that I mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to look at some stuff on them data sticks. I want to look over some of the research results Aaron sent to do with the accident.\u201d Phe is carrying me towards the lift and Lenime is walking beside us holding my hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan you help me go over the results if I read them to you?\u201d I ask Lenime knowing he does the same kind of thing as me and might be able to see something I can\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His face lights up. \u201cI would love too.\u201d He kisses the back of my hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank, Len.\u201d I turn my attention back to Phe. \u201cAnd you handsome man, can help if you can?\u201d I say not wanting to leaving him out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not really any good at stuff like that, but I\u2019ll give it a go for you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow about we go to the room and have the contents of the sticks transfer to a private file on the main computer and then we can look it over in the comfort of our own room?\u201d Lenime suggests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI like that idea,\u201d Phe agrees and with that we do as he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
