I feel strangely happy to find that out that he had a good life, despite him now being dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I smile and stop crying, but giggling when I feel four tongues licking my tears away. First seeing this Dax tense and send my mates a hard glare, but soon relax when he sees me giggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot now, loves,\u201d I whisper for only them to hear and they reluctantly pull back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is Lenime and Phe. Phe is the captain\u2019s second. This is the captain Kiy. Ren, the doctor, Ty, Bern, Reck, Lein and Koya,\u201d I introduce everyone to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am Amber Kara Vanderveer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have three names?\u201d Phe questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. It\u2019s a human thing. I\u2019ll explain later.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow, long name,\u201d Lenime chimes, making me fight a grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dax on the other hand is staring at me in awe, at least I think that is what it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are Emperor Aaron\u2019s sister? How did you get free?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI found her when looking over the abandoned planet for resources,\u201d Phe answers giving the man his everyone else look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe found me sealed in a special room in the old Harkers Lab building, where I used to work before everything,\u201d I explain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe still have the stasis pod on board and tons of information, videos and things that Aaron left for me on memory sticks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His eyes widen and he looks like a kid at Christmas. \u201cHe left you\u2026 Did you get them working?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. It took a bit of work, I had to build a reader and stuff but yes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look to Kiy for consent to show the man a video. Kiy smiles at me, guessing my question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs he well, Ren?\u201d He asks his wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. I managed to heal him before he woke.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen if you come with us. We will show you some,\u201d Kiy tells Dax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dax looks to me and I give him a nod to say it is safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standing up, with me mates by my side we leave the room and go to the room we were working in the couple of days before. Dax follows closely behind me. Everyone else, other than Ren comes too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I yawn and Phe takes that as an indication to carry me. I am honestly too tired to stop him – it has been a long day and I have already been up more than twelve hours. Instead I lay in his arms and hold out my hand to my sweet Lenime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving in the room Phe sits in a chair with me on his lap and Lenime to my side. \u201cYou alright, Amber?\u201d Koya asks stroking my loose hair, which I never did tie back again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, just tired.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a busy day. First the baby, then everything else,” Lenime adds as laid his head on my lap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I forget for a moment Dax is here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAre you mates?\u201d He asks a little surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKoya is Lenime and Phe\u2019s sister. Their father is Kiy and his mate is Ren, their mother. Ty is Koya\u2019s mate and Lenime and Phe are my mates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLenime and Phe are mates?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo. Poyun only have one mate. They are both my mates, but not each other\u2019s,\u201d I explain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s different,\u201d He says with a slight smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I show him the first video Aaron made for made and he watches in awe. \u201cYou have more from him?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTons and hundreds of text and other things. Movies, music, books.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPorn,\u201d Koya adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat was interesting,\u201d Ty says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cButton\u2026\u201d Need I say who?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dax looks amused. \u201cWe lost many of movies and music when they left Earth. There is only about a hundred or so movies left from that time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, Aaron gave me thousands of movies and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen we return you to your home planet we can give you a copy?\u201d Kiy offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou will return me?\u201d Dax asks surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. We will move the wreckage of your shuttle to an empty bay and store the dead until we reach your home world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you! That would be fantastic,\u201d He sounds more than happy. \u201cWhat do you want as payment?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiy and the others look confused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want no payment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDidn\u2019t I tell you they are just a nice species?\u201d I tell Dax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, but why would they help?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are explorers and I would also like to go to your world for my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love you, Kiy,\u201d I say without thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He smiles fondly and lean down and kisses my forehead. \u201cI love you too, Amber.\u201d I know he means it. He is a great man. Like my real father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know without looking my mates are smiling. I can feel their happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone back home would love to meet you and your new family,\u201d Dax says looking to the others and then back to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have only met a couple of alien races. Namely Trenks and Casiu. They weren\u2019t very friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are unlucky. They are two of the more undesirable races. Trenks just love to fight and are mercenaries and the Casiu are power hungry,\u201d Phe explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think the Poyun are like fluffy bunnies, except they can be scary. They are all huge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI noticed. Are they all like that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYep. Koya is the smallest female other than me, that I have seen.\u201d She is almost the same height as Dax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I turn my head and notice a twinkle in his eye. \u201cBefore you get any ideas, the Poyun women have a cap on their vagina and it only opens during heat, which is every six months or so or the first time they meet their mate.\u201d No one seems to mind that I am telling him this, although Dax seems unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd it is psychically impossible for either female or male to have sex or join with anyone other than their genetic mate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loosing my train of thought I ask, \u201cDid you take bunnies to the new planet?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dax laughs. \u201cThat was random. First saying no sex, now bunnies?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI like bunnies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe brought most animals with us and yes, we have lots of bunnies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan I have two?\u201d I ask hopeful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, if you would like.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat are bunnies?\u201d Lenime asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finding the video, I play it to reveal a couple bunnies eating carrots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, we want Bunnies,\u201d Koya agrees, watching my childhood pets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moments later the camera pans to a little white blonde and big blue eyed boy about seven running around with a baby doll, laughing and being chased by a similar looking girl of five with her hair in piggy tails and a little frilly dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAren!\u201d She cries unable to say her brothers name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGive me Daisy baby back?\u201d The little girl pleads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs that you?\u201d Dax asks guessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lenime\u2019s head pops up realizing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYep. I was five and Aaron was seven.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seconds later the younger me falls over and burses out crying, Aaron immediately stops and rushes over. He sits on the fall and hugging me to him, giving me the doll and kissing my head. \u201cSorry, Snow. Please don\u2019t cry. Daisy baby is back, see?\u201d He dances the doll in my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As though on cue one little bunny hops over. Getting a mischievous smile, he lets go of me and pulls his shoe lace out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dad who is on the camera just laughs as my brother straps the doll to the bunny\u2019s back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLook, Snow. Daisy is a practicing to be a horse rider,\u201d He says pointing to the escaping bunny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little me looks up damp faced and giggles. Cue a long game with the bunnies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLike little snow babies,\u201d Dax thinks out loud. \u201cI never thought in a million years I would not only meet a great one, but see videos of one of the greatest as a child. The Emperor would love to see this. If you didn\u2019t mind?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t mind.\u201d It is alright with me. After all, he is Aaron\u2019s family, descendant, making him mine too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou were so tiny and so cute. I love your hair and big eyes,\u201d Lenime says playing with my hair and holding it in two bunches at the sides of my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am not wearing my hair in bunches, Len.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He pouts, \u201cWhy not? You look lovely.\u201d Phe and Koya agree and I hear Dax chuckle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI hope our baby looks like you,\u201d Phe says again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are pregnant?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes. But only a day gone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His eyes widen, \u201cHow do you know? I thought it took at least ten day before you could find out?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt does normally. But I don\u2019t know if it is the enzyme, the daddies being Poyun or both but Ren scanned and saw the fetus this morning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow. The changed modern women are pregnant seven months instead of nine but still have to wait a while to find out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I begin to feel my eyes closing. I hear Phe tell his father that he and Lenime are taking me to bed. His father tells them he will have the shuttle and bodies brought up and have a room for Dax to stay in until we reach the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the sounds fade and sleep takes over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
