Chapter 6

""

The next morning was much like the one before. Benga had woken up early and dressed Alex in a t-shirt and panties, before then putting her in her own bunk.

Waking up when the officer came to get her. She found it hard to stay mad at her cell mate. But told herself she had too, to stop him doing it. She loved being intimate with him, she didn’t want to stop. But she also didn’t want to have a baby in prison. She had to be angry.

The morning routine was the same as yesterday. They went for a shower before the others, then went into the lunch hall for breakfast.

Sitting at the table it was clear to all that Alex was angry at something. She sat scowling at her plate as she ate.

Sid chuckled sitting at the table in the chair opposite hers. “Morning turtle… Sam.”

“Morning,” She grumbled and Benga muttered distracted.

“What’s with the grumpy chops?”

Silence…

“And you,” Sid spoke to Benga this time. “You are looking at her with puppy dog eyes.”

Benga glare at his friend before returning his eyes to Alex with a soft look, all the time slowly eating.

“Sammy is an idiot,” She said a few seconds later. All the men at the table looked at him expectantly, but nothing.

He continued to look at her with a soft expression as he ate the last of his breakfast.

“I think he’s going soft,” Someone whispered.

“Let’s test it.”

“Hey, Sam.” He gave them a hard look that made them back down.

“Never mind.”

“Wimps,” Alex teased picking up her empty plates and standing up.

Benga’s eyes widen slightly for a second when he realizes she is leaving. He picked up his own plates and quickly followed her.

**

“Please speak to me?” He walked with her to their work location and waited for the others to arrive. “Angel,” He sang standing behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. They were alone, no officers, no one.

She hadn’t spoken one word to him since they woke up.

“You can’t be mad at me.”

She tried to act nonchalant, but when he began kissing her neck she folded.

“Why?” She finally spoke to him.

“What the hell do you want from me?”

He stopped what he was doing and moved in front of her.

“This is my life, Sam. You can’t just fuck me and not expect there to be any consequences. What if I get pregnant? What the hell am I going to do with a baby in here?”

She forced herself not to cry, but he could tell how distraught she was.

He drew her closer into his arms, “I…” He didn’t know what to say.

“I know it might not happen, but it could. I have to serve at least six months, probably the full year if Gus has anything to do with it.

But what about that afterward?”

He sighed heavily and realized for the first time why she was so worried.

“If it happens,” He cups her cheek. “No matter whether we are still together or not, I am not my father or yours. I will be there for our child.”

“But you’ll be inside?” She sniffled.

“But I can still help and there are my mom and sister. Not to mention the chance of early parole if I continue being a good boy.”

“You mean that?”

He smiled and placed a kiss on her lips. “Yes. Everything.” He looked at her adoringly.

“So, we’re together?” She asked shyly looking down and kicking dust.

“Is that even a question?” She stayed quiet. “Of course, we are. You are my girl, I am officially claiming you.”

“But don’t think this means I’m giving you permission to cum inside me.”

He laughed and placed his lips on hers.

“Break it up!” A voice came only several seconds later.

Pulling their lips apart, she jumped back but Benga stayed in place, still holding her waist.

“That was great.” They looked to the exit to see Sid laughing with a few other guys with him, including Gunnar.

“You fucker!” Benga said something familiar and he punched Sid in the arm.

“It’s your own fault. You should stop abusing poor turtle in public. What if a guard caught you? You think she will be safer put in with someone else.”

“She is not going anywhere.”

“Wow. Possessive much?” He teased and gave Alex a one arm hug. Benga glared at Sid. “Get your arm off my girl!” He growled and pushed the arm away.

This only made his friend laugh more. “Calm down, Sam. I was just being friendly. I’m not going to touch poor Turtle,” He stroked Alex’s hair and picked some up in his hands and smelled it.

“Are you smelling my hair, you creeper?” Alex took her hair back. He just grinned ignoring his large friend’s death glares. “It’s been a while since I’ve been this close to a real woman. But I guess a turtle is close enough.”

In one quick move she punched him in the gut. Benga smirked as Sid groaned and the other guys in the yard laughed.

“You are such a mean woman.” He was doubled over rubbing his gut.

“You shouldn’t be saying shit about her,” Benga warned still smirking. “She is more woman than any woman I have known.” He defended.

“I was only joking. God, none of you people can take a joke.”

**

“Burns, Gunnar, Jordan, Rodriguez, Sidson, Truman,” An officer called several names. “But I only had a visitor a couple of days ago, I can’t have another,” Alex said confused.

“It is within the governor’s discretion to allow an extra visit if he thinks it is warranted,” The officer said automatically and waited for the prisoners to line up.

“Watch Jordan,” Benga whispered to Sid and Gunnar, they both nodded in understanding. “Do not worry. We’ll keep Turtle safe,” Sid whispered back and along with the others called he followed the officer to the visitor’s room.

“Your name is Sidson?”

“Terry Sidson to be correct,” Sid told her with a smile. “But I hate it, so everyone calls me Sid.”

“My full name is Lewis Jordan, Manga. But you can call me lover,” Jordan appeared at her side and placed his hand on her backside.

“She is the bosses!” Gunnar growled and the large black man pushed the smaller white man away from her and took a protect stance at her side.

“What’s going on?” The officer turned and shouted after noticing Jordan on the ground.

“I tripped over my own feet,” He replied before anyone else had a chance. The officer obviously didn’t hear Gunnar moments earlier, because he accepted Jordan’s excuse.

“Just be more careful,” He said turning back and returning to walking.

“Yes, Sir,” Jordan stood up and gave her a smirk whispering, “Don’t worry, Manga, I know none of this is your fault. I’ll walked ahead, but we’ll speak later.” He winked and did as he said.

“That guy has some gall,” Sid exclaimed lowly. “He is bruised and battered from the other day. He’s warned off and threatened a dozen times and still he continues.”

“Everyone in single file and silent until you reach your visitors,” The officer called gaining their attention.

Doing as they were told, they all formed a line again. Gunnar and Sid taking up position in front and behind her.

She entered the room she was in only days ago and she looked for her visitor once they were allowed to go to the tables. She searched the room and her eyes finally landed on a couple of people she never thought she would see visiting her.

With narrowed eyes and a deep hatred boiled inside her, she walked over to the table. “What in the fucking hell do you want?” She growled lowly not bothering to hide her feelings towards the two men.

“Rodriguez, sit down.” Glancing back she looked at the guard. He had obviously not heard her so she nodded and did as told. But didn’t fail to notice the other people’s visitors looking at her.

“That is no way to speak to your father?!” Luis Martinez spoke back in his normal self-righteous tone.

“Father?! Are you fucking kidding me?! You are a fucking joke! You are as messed up as that sick fuck next to you!” She said and turned her attention to the younger bruised man she had come to hate, not giving Luis a chance to answer.

“Why are you even here? You aren’t meant to be able to see me!” She snapped.

He gave her a smug smile, “I missed you, love.” He moved to the seat beside her. She wanted to move, but she would be too close to him in either chair.

“I beat you up… Kick the shit out of you and all you have to say is you missed me?!” She said in shock.

“I deserved it. I should have never released the photos. But I kept the more intimate ones for my own pleasure,” He smirked and reached under the table for her leg. She slapped his hand away, he just laughed. She felt sick about what he was doing with her pictures.

“And then why the hell did you have me put in here?” She exclaimed a little too loud, but all the officer said was to keep it down.

“Because you needed to be taught, you are mine! You can no longer date men and you certainly can’t see them two sluts anymore,” He curled his lip. “I know what you do together and it is wrong. You will be released when you realize this.” She felt his hand hovering over her leg, but not yet touching her.

The only reason she hadn’t hit him is because she didn’t want more time added.

“And what about you, father?” She said sarcastically. “What are you doing here?”

“I do not understand what my son sees in you but he loves you for some unknown reason. I am here to offer you a deal but you do not have to decide now,” He sounded cold and automatic. “You will sign a contract agreeing to marry Angus, you will be released, make public declaration of your love and you will be married and no longer be in contact with your female friends.”

Alexia was speechless. Did they really think she would say yes?

“You really think I would marry your son, my stepbrother?” She knew people were listening. The room was strangely quiet. “After everything he’s done, brother or not, there is no way in hell! I would rather serve out my time here and resume my friendship with my friends when I get out.” She pushed her chair be slightly. “Oh and the people in here are actually mostly great. The best bit…” She leaned closer to Gus and whisper in his ear for only him to hear.

“I was a virgin when I came in here. I had never had a boyfriend. But not anymore,” She pulled back smirking.

“You are lying!” Gus accused her. “Men often visited your house.”

“Friends and my friend’s boyfriends,” She corrected.

“No one else will touch you!” He warned lowly.

“Ha! Whatever.” She was about to get up and go to the officer and wait against the wall until the others were done, but she didn’t get a chance.

“YOU ARE MINE! I WILL KILL ANYONE WHO WILL TOUCH YOU! MEN OR WOMEN!” He had pinned her to the table as she tried to stand. His erection digging in between her legs.

One of the two officers slammed his hand down on the alarm on the wall. A loud siren filled the prison and all the inmates with visitors got up and lined against the wall as was the rule in such a situation.

Sid and the others watched wanting to help but knowing they would be in trouble if they tried anything. But also not entirely believing the man would hurt her.

“Let her go!” Luis told him, but she knew it wasn’t because he was worried about her but Gus and himself.

“Release the prisoner or we will use force!” One officer warned.

“TELL ME WHO YOU BELONG TO?!” He ignored the officer thinking himself above them. The officer warned again and again. Nothing. Gus’s grip tightened impossibly as the officers got closer. A sickening cracking sound followed by a high pitched scream sounded just as the door flew open. Four armed officers entered at the same time as Sid and the other two officers pulled the man off of Alexia.

The officers took over from Sid and dragged the man into a holding cell until the police arrived. “REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE MINE!” Gus was heard yelling.

More officers appeared and began ushering the visitors out and another, the prisoners.

They all left feeling somewhat guilty. But Sid stayed behind to comfort her. Refusing to leave. The officers let him under the circumstances.

He picked up a sobbing Alexia as Luis stood watching in disgust.

“She is your daughter!” The intimidating large black man exclaimed what the officers were too professional to say.

The older man was afraid but hid it well.

“She is a mistake. As was her sister and mother. She should have died too.”

A fist came out of nowhere and knocked him on his backside. It was Gunnar. He was one of the last prisoners to leave and heard what it said.

Gunnar left as if nothing happened. Sid, still carrying Alexia was escorted to the doctor’s office. On their way out they heard the old man yelling about pressing changes. But the officers all denied seeing anything.

“Come on, Turtle. Let’s get you fixed up.”

**

“It’s a bad break. They said it’ll be a good few months. She needs to have regular check-ups to make sure it’s healing properly,” Finnigan explained to the night officer. “I’ve spoken to the governor and he said to let her shower tonight and sleep in until the others have had their showers. She won’t have work either because of her arm.”

Once he had finished explaining he took a tired Alexia shower, picking up a fresh uniform from storage along the way.

She was given a plastic bag to place on her arm to not get the cast wet. It was a struggle but somehow she did it.

It was almost midnight before she finally got to her cell. She hadn’t seen Sam since before the visit, but she knew Sid and the others would tell him what happened.

By now the whole prison probably knew.

Walking down the silent corridor approaching her cell all she could think was, ‘Is Sam worried or even bothered she wasn’t there?’

Getting closer she dismissed the thought. ‘We have only just met he’s probably fast asleep by now,’ She thought to herself.

“We’re here,” Finnigan said breaking her from her thoughts. He unlocked the dark room and let her inside before saying, “Good night,” And locking the door again.
