Chapter 6
Now dressed they walked back down the stairs to find everyone in the kitchen.
“Shit! It’s really you, I thought mum was tripping,” A tall young woman with red hair exclaimed.
“That’s my sister, Lily. My brother, Rider you know.” The teenage boy turned red as Annie looked at him. He was short for a boy and had blonde hair.
“And that’s my parents Rachel and Matthew.”
Rachel looked like an older version of Juliet, while Matthew was a giant, well over six foot with greying red hair and a beard.
“It’s good to meet you, Juliet spoke about you a lot,” Annie greeted them. She walked further into the kitchen with Juliet.
“Are you the reason my daughter has been depressed the last week?” Her mother accused.
“Yes, but it wasn’t intentional. One of my labels employees became obsessed with me and sent everyone away I showed interest in with a check saying it was from me. I only found out because Juliet left a note.
“I would have been here sooner. But the employee in question was arrested for stealing millions from Starlight music and I had to stay to answer some questions.”
They were speechless.
“She’s my girlfriend,” Juliet announced.
“No way. She’s not on your team. She dated that hottie before her sister stole him,” Lily tried to call her bluff.
“No. That was just for the media. Casey was dating him the whole time. I was trying to hide the fact I’m a lesbian from my parents. I can’t stand men.”
“No, that can’t be true. What about Jason Taylor? He is beautiful, you got to be kiss him.”
“Yes, my first on screen kiss. He was like a horny dog back then. I don’t like to speak bad of him because he’s actually my friend now. But we had to do that scene about twenty times because he kept sticking his tongue in my mouth and making me retch. Not to mention he was getting a little happy, if you know what I mean…”
“I wouldn’t mind that. He’s single, right?”
“Not exactly.”
“Don’t tell me he is gay too?”
“No, he’s definitely not gay.”
“The real question is, are you happy, Juliet?” Her father asked.
Juliet grinned. “Of course. I have the woman I love. Don’t let her tattoos and everything mislead you. She is a total sweetheart. She treated me like a princess when I was in the states. If it wasn’t for the woman who tricked me we would have started dating sooner, right?” She looked up at Annie.
“Yes, fairy. We definitely would because you are amazing.”
“You have to see this.” Lily took out her phone and pulled a video up.
“No, Lily, it’s embarrassing.” Juliet tried to grab it but her sister was much taller than her. She easily passed it to Annie who watched.
“Oh, I’ve seen this on the internet. The little girl who cries because she’s jealous Jason is kissing me.”
The tiny girl about four watching ‘It takes two’ when the kiss happens she bursts into tears.
“That’s Juliet,” Rachel tells her. “She loves the movie but until she was about ten she got really angry when ever Jason Taylor kissed you. She wanted to murder him,” Her mother laughs at the memory.
“No way, this is you?” Juliet’s face turned red.
“She’s had a huge crush on you pretty much since then.”
“Wow… I honestly thought the little girl was angry at me for kissing him.” Annie smirked and hugged her closer.
“You were a really cute kid.”
Juliet blushed.
“She has everything you were in and her YouTube-“
“Lily, stop trying to embarrass your sister. Go and clean up, you’re flithy,” Her mum ordered.
Lily is a real girly girl, but loves bikes and cars. Which is why she is a mechanic.
“Rider, you too.” The teen was making googoo eyes at Annie until he left the room.
“So you are dating my daughter?” Matthew – her dad asked Annie. “What are your intentions?”
Juliet wanted the ground to open up and swallow her.
“I know I haven’t known Juliet long, but I have never felt more connected to a person. I never want to be a part from her. This last week has been torture. I love your daughter. I want her to come on tour with me. My label have agreed to give her a job as my official photographer. I want to date her and see where it goes. It maybe too soon for her, but I’m in it for the long run. She is my soul. I suffered bad depression, but the moment I met her, it was like returning home,” Annie poured her heart out. She wanted her family to know she was serious.
Juliet was in tears, happy tears. She never expected to be loved back.
Annie turned back to Juliet and frowned.
“Why are you crying, fairy?” She asked stroking her girlfriend’s cheek.
“We’ll just leave you alone a minute,” Her mum said dragging her husband with her out of the room.
“Y.. You love me?” Annie’s expression softened.
“I came here, putting my work on hold just to see you. Of course I love you, fairy.” She held her closer.
“Didn’t I tell you earlier?”
“No.”
“I’m sorry, fairy, I must have gotten over excited. I love you so much.”
“I love you too, Annie.”
“I know you do.” She smiled and leaned in kissing her.
“You’ll stay at the hotel with me tonight, right? I’ve had trouble sleeping without you.”
Juliet grinned and nodded.
“How long are you in the UK for?”
“Originally the label could only give me a couple of days. But they moved and cancelled things. I can stay ten days. But I have to attend a few interviews and magazine shoots. And I have security. But I managed to ditch them to meet you.”
“Won’t you get into trouble?”
“Nah. A lecture about the dangers but nothing really,” She assured Juliet.
“I don’t have any thing on the books for a couple of days. How about you, fairy?”
“I have college. But I guess if I’m going with you I don’t need it. But I do still have to go another time to let them know I’m dropping out. Are you sure you want me with you for months on end?”
“Fairy, I want as long as you’ll give me.”
“Don’t say that because you’ll never get rid of me.”
“That’s what I’m hoping for.”
They kiss again before a throat clearing brings them apart.
“Are you staying out tonight?” It was her dad.
“Yes, but I’ll be at the studio tomorrow.”
“Good. Come home for dinner too, both of you. I’ll tell ya mum,” He smiled and left before they could answer.
“Studio?” Annie asked curiously.
“Oh, I forgot. My dad’s tattoo studio. I have an appointment tomorrow.”
“You’re getting another tattoo?”
“No. I help out and on occasion I get requests to do tattoos for people.”
“My little fairy is a tattoo artist?” She asked surprised.
“Yes. Well, part time. It’s fun but I enjoy taking pictures. I always planned on doing both. But I guess plans change.”
“Not necessarily. You must be a pretty good artist if you’re working for your dad. I’ve seen some of his work on Facebook. He is an amazing artist.”
“You looked at his page?”
“Yes. That’s how I found you. Justine deleted your address from the system when she tried to pay you off,” She explained.
“Come on, fairy. Pack some things, I’ll call Casey and have her pick us up.”
“You don’t have too. I’ll take us.”
They returned to her room and she threw some clothes and underwear in a backpack while her younger brother, Rider made googoo eyes at Annie. The singer gave him an autograph, took a selfie with him and kissed his cheek.
Lily didn’t miss a chance for a selfie and autograph. She even tried to talk the singer into giving out some of her famous friends numbers.
But she did promise tickets to the pair and to introduce them to the band.
Walking outside, Juliet lead her to the garage.
“You’ll have to hold this on your back… I mean if that’s alright?”
Annie looked confused but took the backpack.
“I don’t mind but why?” She asked slipping the bag on her back. It had been years since she carried one.
“I don’t have a car. My mum does for shopping and for picking my brother up,” Juliet explained opening the garage.
“But she also has a bike. We all do minus Rider. Well, he has one but not a real bike.”
Annie stared, more than a little surprised.
“I knew your dad and mum were bikers. But I’m surprised you own a motorcycle. You look too innocent.”
Juliet grabbed her helmet and a spare, passing it to Annie.
“It’s a rush. I love bikes.” She rolled her black Honda and pulled on her helmet before climbing on.
“I’ve never been on a motorcycle before,” Annie admitted a little nervous.
“It’ll be fine, Princess. Just climb on behind me and hold on to my waist. I promise your safe. I’ve carried my brother loads of times.”
For a second Annie thought of her crazy ex, how she always called her princess. Annie hated it, it made her skin crawl. But not when Juliet said it.
When Juliet says it her stomach fills with butterflies and she feels excited, happy even.
Pulling the helmet on and the bag on properly, she climbed on the bike.
“By the way, fairy, you look so fucking sexy on a motorcycle.”
