Chapter 16

“Emily? Do you need help?” They heard the door being opened.

Kennedy pulled out, but it was too late. The woman stepped through the door to see Kennedy with her softening member hanging out. Then to Emily in only a bra and a pair of panties around her ankles.

“Oh my God!” Angelina exclaimed covering her eyes.

“Is everything alright in there?” The shop assistant’s voice asked through the door.

“Yes, yes,” Angelina answered quickly.

“Kenny!” She whisper yelled, “Put your thing away if you wanna keep it.”

Emily had already pulled her own pants up, Kennedy was quick to follow after her sister’s words.

“Done,” Kennedy sang.

“Don’t be acting all sweet now! Grab your dress,” Angelina order her.

Kennedy did as she asked and her sister checked outside the door to see the shop assistant had gone, but Pat and Ashley were waiting.

“I’m going with her to make sure she doesn’t try to harass Emily again.”

Unlike Angelina, the pair wait seemed amused.

“It’s alright for you, you didn’t see her hard willy hanging out!”

This made Ashley burst out laughing.

“Angie!” Kennedy whined and her mum gave her a scolding looking, but with humor-filled eyes. “Kenny, now is not the time to make babies.”

Angelina smirked. “Wait until we get home and you can go about making me lots of grand-babies,” Pat said now smirk and Angelina started tutting under her breath.

“Encouraging her. My whole family are loonies.” She pulled Kennedy with her to get changed.

“Wanna look after Taylor whilst I help Emily?” Ashley asked Pat.

She nodded excited, “I’ll never say no to looking after my grandchildren.”

Ashley leaned down and kissed her sleeping child’s forehead before disappearing into Emily’s changing room, just in time to see her struggling to get the dress on.

“Help?” She squeaked making Ashley chuckling.

“That’s what I’m here for,” She walked over and helped pull the dress down.

“Thank you, Ashley,” Emily said shyly.

“Call me, Ash.”

“I never thought a wedding dress could be so hard to get into,” Emily said giving her a small smile and Ashley started fastening up the dress.

“I know, right? I’m glad we aren’t living in the Victorian times.”

Emily laughed and agreed.

“I don’t like this dress. I feel like a meringue.”

“Just for the record, I think you look cute. But if you don’t like it then I’ll find you another dress.”

“Thank you.”

A dozen dresses later.

“Maybe something different this time…?” Pat looked at the shelves and found a selection on Ivory coloured dresses.

“You like this one, dolly?” Kennedy asked noticing her eyes lingering on an off-the-shoulder ivory princess wedding dress.

She didn’t need to answer, her sweet smile was enough of an indication.

Kennedy reached out and handed the dress to Ashley as she had been helping Emily dress.

“Try it on, doll.” She kissed Emily’s forehead, “And don’t think about the price or I will choose the most expensive ugly dress for you,” She teased her fianc e.

“I love you, Kennedy,” She whispered, kissing her on the mouth before disappearing into the changing room.

“I love you too, Emily,” Kennedy whispered back smiling at the now closed door.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so smiley, ever,” Angelina said getting her sister’s attention.

“She is like this all the time now,” Pat said happily. “It’s great. She wasn’t even this happy when she got her first doll for her fourth birthday.”

They knew for a young age there was something different about Kennedy.

She had always loved playing with Angelina’s toys more than her own.

Kennedy though was always worried and thought she was strange.

But her parents loved her either way, even when she told them she wanted to be a girl.

“She loved that doll.”

“Yes, I remember. She would always say it was her baby and if I tried to play with it she would cry,” Angelina chuckled.

“She always wanted to be a mummy. I can remember when she asked about having babies and you said she couldn’t have one in her belly.”

“My poor baby cried for a whole week.”

“But I found my beautiful dolly. Her having my children in the future is better than anything I could imagine. I love her so much. She is just perfect,” Kennedy said with a dreamy look.

Whilst she dreamed her eyes wandered over the dresses, until finally landing on another ivory dress. This one was a sweetheart lace appliques, princess, A-line wedding dress.

“I like this one,” She picked it up and went to the changing room, Angelina was quick to follow.

**

A short time later and both women had decided they were the dresses they wanted.

“Can’t she put it back on?” Kennedy complained as neither one had seen either choose dress on.

“No. You will wait until the day,” Pat told her firmly. Making her daughter pout.

“We want both of these,” She said placing the dresses on the counter.

One woman packed the dresses for them, whilst a second woman took payment.

“Double wedding?” The stuck up woman serving them asked.

Both women looked like they could be best friends or sisters of Olivia.

“No,” Pat replied as they finished the payment and were handed the dresses back.

The women looked confused.

“I’m marrying my girlfriend,” Kennedy smirked and kissed Emily, knowing as well as her family how this shop was openly homophobic.

They had a lot of bad press because of it.

They left the shop, leaving behind two shocked and annoyed women.

“What was that about?” Emily asked. Kennedy told her about the stories of them.

“They are arses, but they are arses with the best dresses,” Angelina tells her.

“As for bridesmaid’s dresses, we’ll go elsewhere. Alterations, I’ll hire someone,” Pat thought out loud.

“Do you want bridesmaids?” She asked as an after thought.

Emily smiled and looked down at Taylor and then to Kennedy.

“I think Taylor should be one, Ashley can hold her and her and Angelina can be one too. Maybe Tyler could be a ring bearer.”

“I like that idea,” Pat agrees.

“I think they should be red.”

“Like Christmas. I love red,” Emily agrees.

“I know,” Kennedy said grinning.

“I want a red cloak,” Emily whispered to her excited fianc e.

Kennedy chuckled, “Alright, doll. We’ll get you one.” She kissed her cheek.

She told the others as they returned to the car, placing the boxes inside before planning going back to shopping for clothing and bridesmaid dresses.

“I think you would both look so cute,” Pat cooed. “We’ll probably have to look online or have them privately made. But that is no problem.”

Emily felt bad for mention it now, but knew it was already too late.

“Before we go back inside, I just want to feed Taylor,” Ashley said knowing how funny some places can be with breastfeeding in public.

“It is so stupid that in this day and age women – despite people saying otherwise – can not feed their babies in public,” Emily exclaimed annoyed, making Kennedy smile.

“I know, doll.”

After taking a short break dinner, they all finished off their shopping. Buying a whole new winter wardrobe for Emily. Ignoring her pleads not to spend so much and even got themselves some stuff. Not to mention bridesmaid dress with matching shawls. They bought one of the dresses for Taylor, but it was in adult size. So Pat was going the hire a person to make a mini copy of the dress from the material.

“Shoes, shoes, shoes, shoes,” Kennedy sang holding Emily’s waist and swinging her around.

“Kenny,” She giggled oblivious to their male admirers.

They were currently trying to walk to another shoe shop, after dropping off another load in the car.

“Dolly,” Kennedy said in the same tone. “I am so happy,” She sang still hold her fianc e’s waist.

Pat, Ashley and Angelina, who was now pushing the pram, stood waiting for them and watched as Kennedy began kissing her girl.

“They have an audience,” Angelina told her mum and sister-in-law.

“They have all day. They are gorgeous, what man wouldn’t want to watch?” Ashley remembered.

“I don’t think Emily notices much though and Kennedy doesn’t care. She never was into men like that,” Angelina thought out loud.

“I don’t think Emily actually realises how much attention she gets or how beautiful she is,” Patricia said this time.

“She really doesn’t,” Both Ashley and Angelina agreed. “I think that is one of the reasons why she is so sweet and not big headed.”

“Oi,” Angelina called getting the two women’s attention.

“Kenny, put Emily down,” She continued to cling to her girl’s waist.

“Why?” She rested her head against Emily’s.

“I can walk hold her. You like shoes, don’t you?” She asked Emily excited. “Course you do. Let’s go,” Kennedy said happily, place a lingering kiss on Emily’s lips, before moving her under her arm and hugging her to her side as they began to walk again.

Men continue to drool over the women as they walk away.

“What size shoe are you, dolly?” Ashley asked looking over the collection on display.

“She is four, I am eight,” Kennedy answers for her.

“I know yours, not that you need anymore, other than for your big day,” Ashley teases her and Kennedy sticks her tongue out.

“Oh, what a big tongue you have,” She joked.

“I know,” Kennedy wiggles her eyebrows suggestively and looks out of the corner of her eye at Emily, who was busy with Angelina trying on shoes.

Ashley bursts out laughing gaining the attention of the rest of their group.

They all look to Kennedy accusingly, “What? Can I help it that my tongue likes Doll…” Emily slapped her hand across Kennedy’s mouth.

“Shh,” She whispered low enough into Kennedy’s ear for only her to hear. “Be good or I will not let you touch me for a week. Then I will ask your mum to let me sleep in a spare room, alone,” She threatened not really meaning it but Kennedy didn’t know that.

Emily pulling back and removed her hand.

“I’ll be good,” Kennedy replied pouting.

“Good girl,” Emily smiled pecking her lips and whispered one last time, “Smile and I’ll let you fuck me in the toilets at your sister’s pub tonight.”

Kennedy had already arranged for them to see the gang there again later today. She immediately grinned and started rushing around finding shoes for Emily to try on.

“What did you say to her?” Ashley asked walking closer. The pair had started talking more after spending hours trying on dresses together.

“Nothing much,” Emily said innocently.

“Ah, blackmail. Say no more,” Ashley said knowingly.

Arriving back of Ashley and Duane’s house later that afternoon.

“Mummy,” Tyler exclaimed running to the door as soon as Angelina entered the house. She picked him up and hugged him chuckling.

“What is that all over your face?” She laughed looking at his mouth which was surrounded in orange sauce.

“Daddy gave me pizza,” He whispered and Angelina frowned and glared at her husband as they entered the room where all the men were.

“Phil?”

He smiled sweetly, “Yes, love?”

“What did we say about pizza?!”

Pat took her grandson from Angelina’s arms and started to clean his face as the couple talked.

“Bought enough?” Duane laughed seeing the bag.

“These,” Ashley pointed to a dozen bags, “Are Angelina’s and them are mine,” She pointed to another group.

“There is dozens more in the cars. We even found all the dresses,” Kennedy said happily.

“That’s good, darling,” Richard smiled to his daughter. “Now we just have sort out suits and the other bits.”

“Mum will have that done in no time.”

Another hour of later and Kennedy and Emily were driving back to the manor.

“What’s wrong, Emily?” Kennedy asked noticing how quiet Emily was being.

“I’m alright,” She replied not very convincingly.

“Don’t lie, doll. We both know something is wrong. Now tell me, what is bothering you?”

“I.. I..” She looked at Kennedy and the barriers she had up broke.

Worried, Kennedy pulled to the side of the road. “Emily, don’t cry. Please tell me what is wrong?” She pleaded leaning over and hugging her.

“I don’t have anyone…” Emily said through tears. Confused Kennedy was about to say she did, when Emily continued.

“I don’t have any friends or family who can give me away at our wedding…” Kennedy’s felt heart broken for Emily.

“Our wedding will be a mess, all because of me…” She chocked out between sobs. “I’m sorry, princess. I was trying to be brave and not tell you… I mess everything up,” She cried more.
“I just want to make you happy. I love you so much, Kennedy.”

By this point, Kennedy was crying too. “I love you too, doll… My sweet, silly Emily. I love you more than anything. It wouldn’t be a mess because I would be marrying you.” She cupped Emily’s face and move her chin up so she was looking at her.

“We could get married with no guests and in a registry office and I would be happy, because I would be marrying you.”

They both looked deep into each others eyes. “My mum and any of my family would be happy to walk you down the aisle. God, I would even give you my own dad. I love you, I never want you to worried or feel sad. I always want to make you happy.”

Kennedy placed her lips to Emily’s and held her close.

“I never want you to think you are alone. You are my family now,” She whispered as Emily slowly stopped crying.

“Let’s go home. We can lay and the couch and hug, watching some old movie before we go out later… that is if you still don’t mind going to see the guys?”

Emily shook her head, “I don’t mind. They are nice.”

“I’m glad you like them,” Kennedy leaned in for one more kisses before starting the car back up.

“We’ll be back soon doll and we can relax for a while.”
