Chapter 2

Curious and more than a little turned on – I’m a horny teenager, blame my hormones – I spend the next few hours as I would any night.

The clock is coming up to midnight. With Glenda fast asleep, I quietly sneak out of the window, using the trellis to climb down.

Sneaking to the bridge, I don’t want to be caught out, but I want to know who my admirer is.

Cautiously I walk to the bridge only a moment later I hear footsteps and a man comes into view.

“I am just getting fresh air,” I tell him knowing he patrols the school grounds sometimes.

Maybe my admirer saw him and ran away.

“I’ll go back now,” I tell him, sending him a smile I turn to leave.

Only a hand reaches out stopping me. It grabs me and turns me back to him, picking me up in his arms, carrying me somewhere.

“Nic.. Nicholas, what are you doing?” He’s holding his staff under his arm as he cradles me against himself.

“We have seen each other separately, now I want to see us together.”

My mouth falls open. “You? You are my secret admirer?”

He doesn’t deny it.

“But you call me a bunny brain and are always annoyed at me?

“You have teased me non-stop since the moment you arrived and you don’t even know it.” I listen confused as the prefect shows me a whole new side of himself.

“You are my little bunny. You look so cute in bunches.”

I feel my cheeks burn red.

He is leading us into an area I’ve never been in the months I’ve been here.

“But haven’t you a fiancée?”

“I was the one who told everyone that after you arrived.” We arrive at an old but beautiful cottage.

Walking inside, it is completely furnished and he carries me straight to the back, the master bedroom and places me on the bed.

“I don’t understand.”

My eyes widen as he began to strip off his clothes before taking his huge cock in his hand and strolling towards me.

“That’s another thing I love, so beautiful but so innocent. My perfect little girl.” I’m not sure that is a compliment or not.

He chants something and with a wave of his staff I am naked.

It quickly becomes clear what he is planning.

“You are going to have sex with me?” I ask as he moves onto the bed with me, leaning down and giving me a foot popping kiss.

“I am consummating our love.”

Fuck, he is sexy. But do I really want this?

Not giving me a chance, I feel him try and fail at least several times to try and enter me.

It is quickly becoming clear he is as inexperienced as me.

“Nicholas, I -” A huge intrusion as he finally hits its mark.

“Katrina!” He groans filling me completely.

Instead of his normally cold and hard expression he is staring at me needful and hungrily eyes.

Barely moving as though scared of hurting me, but I can feel him gushing inside me.

I let him kiss me. “I love you.”

I am aroused but shocked. I know he means it.

He holds me close, kissing me almost the whole time, as though he is scared I’ll disappear.

Growing more confident, he starts moving faster, deeper, harder.

“Nick!” I moan and he gives me his first smile. A genuine one, sweet and makes me fall for him a little.

“You are so perfect. You are my fiancée, the only woman I want to be with.”

“Are… Are you asking or telling me, Nick?” I ask him breathlessly, my hands all over him and his over me.

“It’s not a request. I knew the moment I met you that you were to be my wife.” I still find that hard to believe.

“Nick, I… I feel… I think…” I cry out his name as the most amazing feeling comes over me.

I shiver and moan beneath him as he pistons inside me. I may not have had normally schooling, but I know enough to know we both climaxed.

I open my eyes only to be left speechless at what I see.

“Does this mean you love me too?” He asks glances at the pink heart shaped butterflies flying around us.

I know enough to know it is my magic.

Nicolas can’t perform magic without a spell.

My cheeks burn red, “I can’t hide anything from you, can I?” I ask embarrassed. I am only just now realising myself the true extent of my feelings for him.

He gives me the most brilliant smile. “I almost took you right there and then when your skirt disappeared. You are so beautiful.”

We lay kissing and hugging before we start chatting.

“So who’s is this cottage? It’s beautiful.”

“It’s actually a visitors cottage.” The place where parents and other visitors stay.

“I just so happen to have access and thought it would be the perfect place to consummate our engagement.” I laugh and open my mouth to say he hasn’t even given me a ring when I notice something shinny on my finger.

“When did this happen?” I ask looking at my hand, at the silver ring with a glowing blue stone. “So beautiful.”

“When your clothes came off.” He grins.

“It looks old.”

“It is a family heirloom, been in the family for generations.”

My eyes widen. “Oh, no. Should I really have this? Won’t your parents be disappointed? My family aren’t poor. But I’m not rich either. I’m the only magical person in my family. I’m from a tiny village made up of retirees. I was the only child growing up, I was home schooled,” I begin to ramble.

I stop when he starts to chuckle. “Oh, my sweet little bunny brain, you are perfect in every way. My family will all adore you.”

I’m not so sure after hearing all the gossip about his family, how strict his parents are.

“But wasn’t you and brothers forbidden from dating?” I had heard in passing he has two older brothers.

“Yes, we were banned from dalliances. But you aren’t a dalliance.” Before long we long we were kissing and… Cue more butterflies.

**

We wake up late the next morning.

It’s a rare rest day, so we didn’t have to worry about classes.

“I’ll make breakfast,” I tell him while he uses the bathroom after we have showered and dressed.

A few minutes later he comes into the kitchen to see me filling my face with cake.

A chuckle, saying a chant I can’t quite hear and my cakes disappear, replaced by mixture of fruits.

I look at him and pout. “My cakes…”

“You can’t eat cakes for breakfast.” He sits besides me and starts to eat.

“You would make a pretty girl,” I say smiling. He looks at me nonchalantly and firmly says, “No.” But I can’t help but smile seeing his strawberry stained lips.

“Girly,” I say and giggle when he narrows his eyes at me. Oh, little does he know.

He continues to eat, but looks at me suspiciously, I just continue to grin munching on some juicy fruit. “You are really pretty, Nicky.”

“Handsome, I’m a man not a girl and it’s Nick or Nicholas, Not Nicky.”

I continue to grin and eat.

Hearing strange noises from behind us, turning to the fireplace I notice something fall into the unlit coals.

“What’s that?” I jump up and rush over. Knowing it is a bird I pick it up the way my vet mother had taught me.

“What is that, Katrina?” He kneels besides me.

“It’s a owl.” A once white barn owl now black. The bird’s big brown eyes stare at me. It is very mellow for a wild animal.

“It’s tame.”

“Snow,” Nicholas says and the owl coos. I look to him curiously.

“My brother’s familiar.” He seems nervous, something which I have never seen before.

“His familiar?” I ask and he catches himself in a nearby mirror.

“Katrina…” He gives me a stern look and I can’t help but laugh. He has make up on.

“But you look beautiful.”

“Katrina.”

“Don’t you think, Snow?” The owl coos.

“Katrina!”

“Fine, fine,” I laugh. “Gone.” I make up disappears a moment later.

He tries to look at me as if angry but now I know how he feels I know he isn’t.

I keep grinning and he sighs. “I can’t be mad at you. I love you too much.” He leans over and kisses me. “But I need to tell you-” Before he can complete his sentence the door flies open.

It was locked, so someone had used magic on it.

Two men similar to Nicholas in looks only one has an exposed tattoo on his arm and his hair is slightly longer than his younger brothers. The other is a similar length to Nicholas’s but hung loose and wavy.

“You have a lot -” I cut the tattooed brother off.

“What the hell is wrong with you?!” The brothers all look shocked at being talk back at. I may look sweet and innocent but I can be a bitch when I want to.

“First you send this poor owl down the chimney, possibly hurting it and now you just barge into a locked house without so much as a knock! What the hell is wrong with you?! Haven’t you any common sense?! Did all the entitlement send you stupid?! Who in their right mind thinks it’s a good idea to send a owl down a tiny chimney?! It could have gotten stuck or worse killed! It is your familiar but it doesn’t mean you can abuse it!” I really hate people who hurt animals.

I believe the only reason to hurt an animal should be to protect yourself or for food.

“Katrina, shut up!” Nicholas snaps.

“Sorry, she isn’t normally like this,” Nicholas says quickly. That really hurt. I didn’t do anything wrong.

Looking over the owl quickly, he is find, just stunned. I hand Nicholas the bird.

He has no idea what to do with it. Glaring at him, I stand up and walk to leave.

“Where are you going?” He asks quickly.

“Back to my dorm. Spend time with your brothers.”

“But -”

“Don’t!” I snap and storm from the house.

I’m probably a bit of a drama queen but I seriously have no idea how the owl even fit. The chimney is tiny, not a normal one.

I half expected him to follow me but he doesn’t.

I walk back to my dorm without interruption.

Though I do hear other students mention the brothers visiting in passing. But no reason why.

At the last moment I turn deciding to go to the woods instead. It’s not technically off limits, it’s just no one much goes there. I think because it’s very dense and the rich kids don’t want to get dirty.

Moving through the trees, I don’t worry about finding my way back, I’m good at remembering directions. And if everything fails, I have magic. I have become a lot more confident in myself and my magic in the time I’ve been at the school.

Finding an area small clearing in the woods I sat down on the ground with crossed legs and begin to meditate. It isn’t big but enough for me to sit.

I am annoyed that Nicholas apologised for me. It is his brothers fault not mine. Noticing a shy dog watching me from some bushes, I think nothing of it.

Clearing my mind, I listen to the sound of the breeze.

Losing track of time, I open my eyes feeling hungry. Only I find the dog, I now realise has three heads – a deformation? – with it’s heads laid on my lap.

“Hi cutie,” I coo stroking his heads. I think each head has a different mind of its own by the way it moves. They look up at me panting. It is almost as though they are smiling, but keep their heads on my lap. I sit around for a while speaking random nonsense. It is nice and they are cute. But soon I leave saying goodbye to my new friends.

I easily find my way back to my dorm. It is past lunch, but the dorm has a kitchen, so make myself a snack to tied me over until dinner. I see the house mother poke her head into the kitchen, but then she leaves. I think nothing of it.

Sitting at the small table I have just started eating when the prince himself enters the kitchen.
