Chapter 12

“Remember, they might look scary but they are nice and I will be with you all the time,” Kennedy reassured Emily as they entered the surprisingly crowded pub, full of locals and bikers alike. The whole bar seemed to pause and glance at them.

“Why is it I feel like a walking, talking potato?” Emily whispered so only Kennedy could hear.

“I was thinking more of a walking talking porcelain dolly.”

“So you have sex with all your dolls, you little creep?” She teased as they made there way to the bar.

“Only with the really sexy ones,” Kennedy said moving Emily in front of herself and wrapped her arms around her.

Looking over to the group of mainly males in one side of the room, she smiled and waved her hand to them. They cheer as if happy to see her back. She kept looking at the group as if searching for someone, but this meant she failed to notice the burly man approach her back.

“You’re a weirdo,” Emily said with a slight chuckle, not noticing the man behind them either.

“Says the person who thinks she is a talking potato.” She moved her hand and ran her fingers under the waistband of Emily’s jeans.

They were stood in front of bar, so no one could see her hand.

“But like you said I’m a weirdo and…”

“Kenny,” The baritone type voice chuckled.

Slipping her hands out of her waistband, she turned her head and grinned, “Clive.”

“Give me a hug, you weirdo,” He smiled holding out his arms.

Removing her arms completely from Emily she turned around completely and hugged the man who had been like her second father.

“We missed you, Kenny. You look happy,” He said hugging her back.

“What can I get you, Emily?” Angelina asked her at the same time as Kennedy noticed Clive.

“Don’t worry it’s on the house. Family always drinks for free,” She quickly added in a loud whisper.

“And I don’t take no for an answer. So what can I get you?”

“Thank you…. Umm, I’m not sure about Kenny, but I’ll have pint of Kronenberg. If that’s alright?”

Angelina grinned, “That’s fine, Em. Is it alright if I call you that?” Emily nodded her head.

“Good. Then I’ll just give Kenny her usual.”

“I am,” Kennedy said pulling back and looking at Emily, who was talking to her sister.

“You brought back a friend with you?” He asked her knowingly, looking back and forth between the two.

“Yes. That is Emily.” He noticed her eyes sparkled as she spoke about her. “Ah! Thee Emily.” Kennedy had regularly kept in contact with him too.

Emily must of felt the pairs gaze on her, because as Angelina got her the drinks she turned her head and shyly smiled before turning her head back.

“She’s a little shy.”

“She’s just as beautiful as you said. You two a couple now?” He was close to her and knew about her wanting to wait for the one.

“She is and yes, she’s my girl.”

“She must be special?”l

“Yes. I asked her to marry me and she countered by asking me.” She smiled and looked at her hand. “She gave me this.” She held out her hand to show him.

“She is like me. She doesn’t have any money or anything. Only her clothes and this ring which her gran gave her and before you ask, she didn’t even know about my families money until about two hours ago. But she gave me it. The only thing she has.”

He pulled her back into a hug. “Come on, lass, don’t let them see you cry,” He whispered to her.

“She loves you. That much is obvious by the little interaction I’ve seen.”

She pulled back smiling, “You want to meet her?”

He gave her a flat look, “Is that even a question I need to answer?”

“Here you go, Em. This is yours and this one…” Angelina place Emily’s drink down and then next to it a pint of Guinness.

“This is Kenny’s.”

Emily curled up her lip and Angelina laughed, “Yeah, I know. It’s gross, but she loves the stuff.” As she was speaking she seemed to glanced behind Emily and then back to her again. “See you later, Em.” Emily was about to ask what she meant when she felt a pair of arms loop her waist.

“Is that drink for me, doll?”

“No, it’s for my other fianc e,” She answered sarcastically.

“If that was true,” Kennedy moved her lips so they were almost touching Emily’s ear. “I would beat the person,” She whispered and placed a kiss behind her ear. “You are my wifey.”

“Only yours. As if I would want anyone else.” Emily leaned into Kennedy’s chest.

“Good, pretty girl.” She kissed her again.

“Come on, doll. Clive wants to meet you.”

Holding their drinks in one of their hands and holding each others in the other they turned around and walking the short distance to where the grey haired Clive was standing.

Clive was a fifty year old man, with grey long tied back hair and a bushy beard. Despite the leather jacket and denim’s he wore a kind smile and a kind face, but was burly and looked like he could take care of himself if it came down to the crunch.

“Clive, this is dolly, doll, Clive.”

“Hello. It’s Emily,” Emily corrected and removed her hand from Kennedy’s and held it out.

He took her hand and smiled, “Hello Emily Doll. Good to meet the woman who finally got my little girl’s attention.” Instead of shaking it he kissed the back.

“Kenny tells me you two are getting married?” He asked releasing her hand and Kennedy took it in her’s again.

Emily took a mouthful of her drink and nodded her head. “Yes, Mr. Clive,” She answered nervous. Despite being kind looking, he was still intimidating.

Kennedy moved her hand from her’s and brought it around Emily’s waist, pulling her into her side.

“Don’t have to be so formal with us, Dolly. Kenny is like my daughter and she loves you a lot. So as long as you do nothing to hurt her, then you are family too.”

She gulped and silently nodded her head.

“Clive, don’t scare her,” Kennedy scolded.

“I’m only messing, Dolly,” He said honestly. Emily was surprised that Kennedy could get away with speaking to him like that.

“Sorry, love. I’m not used to being around little sweet girls like yourself. If I or any of the other guys say anything, don’t take it to heart,” He reassures her.

“It’s okay,” She replied.

“Good,” He smiled, “Let’s go over to the guys. I know they missed you, Kenny and they are dying to meet your girl here too.” He nodded over to the group of leather jacketed men Kennedy waved to earlier.

A lot of men by the bar were watching them as Emily’s hand absentmindedly slipped into her lover’s back pocket and she began to grope her backside.

As they followed Clive, Kennedy leaned in and whispered to Emily as they walked, “Doll, if you don’t want me to take you in front of all these people, then I would stop that.”

“Stop what?” Emily asked confused.

Kennedy raised her eyebrow in amusement, “You really don’t know?”

She shook her head.

“You are groping my ass and are giving not only me but most of the guys behind us at the bar a hard on,” She whispered with a smirk.

“But we can continue and excuse ourselves to the loo if you want?” She quickly added. Emily quickly removed her hand and Kennedy’s sudden laugh made Clive turn his head as he walked. She quickly stopped and gave him an innocent smile. He knew this meant she was up to no good.

“Leave the poor girl alone,” He said guessing.

“It wasn’t me,” She defended.

He looked at her and then at Emily with a raised eyebrow and then back again.

“Yeah, right.” And carried on back to the table.

Kennedy furrowed her eyebrows, “You are giving me a bad rep, dolly,” She said playfully and squeezed Emily’s backside just as they arrived at the table. Emily had to bit her lip to stop her gasping or groaning.

There was about twelve men and three women sat around a few tables on one side of the room.

All of them had the same type of jacket with the name ‘The District Crew’ printed on the back.

The women looked between thirty and forty and the men looked to be ranging from twenty to mid forties.

The moment they saw the girls they all said hello and a few got up and Kennedy let go of Emily’s hand as some of them hugged her.

“Good to see you back, sugar,” One of the younger men said, then pulled back.

Kennedy sat down at the table Clive was at, pulling Emily onto her lap.

“So, you brought a new friend with you?” The same man asked with a mischievous look in his eye.

“Yes. This is Dolly,”

“Emily,” Emily corrected again.

“My wifey,” Told them hugging her waist.

A bunch of them congratulated them. Then another man not much older than the last asked, “Were you a boy too?”

He said it so loudly that the whole pub seemed to quieten.

“Does she look like it?” Kennedy replied with a hint of a smile. She wasn’t offended by the question and neither was Emily.

Eyes of multiple people lingered on a very self-conscious Emily.

“I couldn’t tell you, so that’s why I’m asking,” He admitted earning him a couple of chuckles.

“That is because I am just such a gorgeous person either way.”

“I think she’s been over inflating her ego,” Clive laughed.

“But you’re not denying it,” She said in a cocky tone.

“Yeah, yeah. Your a sexy lady boy. Now answer the question.” Clive clipped the man around the head, but Kennedy just laughed.

“Dolly is a hundred percent female and always has been.”

“So she’s a lesbian?”

“No.”

“Hetero?”

“No.”

“Bi then?”

“No.”

Confused faces.

“She’s only mine and will only be mine. So she doesn’t need a sexuality,” She defends.

“Possessive much?” Someone teased.

Soon enough the three women of the gang were asking the couple about how they met and other things. The men were mostly speaking among themselves, but at the same time listening to the girls and every now and then adding or asking something.

“Do you want another drink, doll?” Kennedy asked once she finished her drink.

The noise in the pub had picked up.

“Yes, please.”
“We just going to the bar, anyone want anything?”

A few said yes and the first guy who was asking questions – who Emily now was called Randy, he was twenty five and one of Clive’s son’s – offered to go help them carry them.

“If you girls ever decide to have a threesome or just want someone to watch, make sure I’m the first you call.” Kennedy rolled her eyes

“Not likely Randy.”
“But you’ll remember? I have a really big cock, you know?”
Emily ignored what he said and leaned up to her lover as they stood by the bar. “I need to pee. Where’s the ladies?” She asked lowly.
“Just over there,” She pointed to two doors, one ladies, one men’s next to the far end of the room. But perfectly visible when at the bar.

“Want me to go with you? If you hang on a minute I can,” She offered not liking the idea of her going alone.

“No, it’s alright. I can’t really wait,” Emily answered shuffling slightly.
“Alright, doll. Take care though,” Kennedy said kissing the top of her head before Emily disappeared into the room.

“You are so whipped, Kenny,” Randy teased. “Not that I blame you. She isn’t like most girls you meet.”

“No. She’s better.”

**

Emily finished up on the toilet and flushed the chain, before redressing herself and exiting the cubicle to the sinks.
She went over to the taps and began washing her hands, not noticing the woman enter the room.

Drying her hands a throat behind her being cleared got her attention.
She turned around to be greeted by an unfamilar face.
